The following ways of caring your clothes should be remembered:
1. Airing. Clothes that have been worn for a brief time and will be worn again should be aired to avoid body odor. Clothes that have already been used and will not be worn again should be aired before being put in the laundry bag. Clothes kept in cabinet should be aired a few hours daily.
2. Hanging. Clothes should be hung properly using hangers and not on a nail or on the back of chairs.
3. Brushing. Brush a coat or jacket that has been worn before hanging it.
4. Pressing. Clothes that have been worn and will be used again should be pressed.
5. Laundering. Dirty clothes should be washed with soap, water and detergent. This should be done at least weekly.
6. Ironing. Clothes should be ironed after they are laundered so they will look good and smell fresh.
7. Mending. A tear should be dammed; while missing buttons, hooks and eyes, and snaps should be replaced. Ripped hems or seams should be restitched.
