Floating Pirate Ship Bedroom In Minnesota Designed By Steve Kuhl

There is nothing more interesting than to make crafts that are appreciated and recognize by the world. That is how I reveal my deep appreciation of Steve Kuhl who made Floating Pirate Ship Bedroom for his client’s six year-old-son in Minnesota.

The design of the bedroom was chosen by the boy among several options that includes a space ship, race car, castle and the pirate ship. And in fact, the floating pirate ship features an old ship’s hull made from 2×12 ribs, covered with layers of 1/2 inch plywood to serve as the planking. Furthermore, the bedroom has a connecting rope bridge leading to the top of a jail cell. Moreover, there is a rope, suspended from the ship’s hull that provides drop-in access to the closet. One of the attraction of the bedroom includes a hidden spiral slide that serves as an alternative way to go downstairs.

If I am that kid whose bedroom was designed by such an extraordinary work of art by an artistic and talented person, I would be the luckiest person to view internationally to have that privilege of a lifetime which marks history of my life. And that is indeed a pleasure!
