Using the Internet is like spreading a contagious disease, whether it’s acute or chronic, malignant or not for the use of it extends to all sorts of faces and people are enjoying its existence 24/7.
But for you, is using the Internet hazardous or not? What are its pros and cons?
I admit that I have been addicted of using the Internet because I feel that all the gadgets that I need are in here. For many years, I rely to its availability and services. I enjoy its company and the pleasures it gives from my work and my leisure time. I possibly have all of them anytime. I just love the Internet like this that I can access my thoughts and transmit it worldwide. That is how I love the Net.
Like most of us do, the Internet is the world for communication. It is the way that messages can be sent worldwide. Messages like text, call or just actions. How can it be possible? Texts are commonly displayed in the Internet. There is what you call as chatrooms where individuals express their messages of love, fun or just about anything. E-mail or commonly known as Electronic Mail, it is the place where people can send short, long written texts or reports to the company, friends, family, etc. The use of voice chat is no t new to Internet users. Interviews, live chat and even “his” and hellos” are vibrantly lead the whole of the voice of people in voice chatting. Telephones and cell phones probably are affected with the power of Internet voice calling. On the other hand, actions revealed through the use of webcam. You can see in real pictures of breaths, smiles and emotions of people who are on the other side of the world chatting with you. Indeed, the Internet displays lots of services that drive wide audience of its availability.
Not only that, if you want to be updated with the latest in news, sports, celebrities, business or just about anything, the Internet show you the way. You know first before your 200 year-old neighbor updates you. On the other hand, music from your favorite singers then or now are in full capture through videos from the different trending sites. If you want to play and take time to enjoy, then you can work your fingers pressing on those buttons and there you go, you can play your favorite online games unceasingly ‘till dawn on the next day.
It is your electric system that will give up and your electric bill, it is definitely high because of your Internet addiction. But that is what life right now in this generation.
Because of the varied aspects of Internet services, it is the place of more sensuality. Pornography is the number 1 destroyer, the predator to mankind which some young and adults are exposed to, immediately. The exposure of pornographic pictures nor videos should not be exposed to children. Such immorality, sad to say, rampantly spreading unceasingly.
The culprit, the so-called “virus” that run through the body of computer system ruins many moral activities and havoc destructions to most people. How can one escape from them? I don’t know unless people are that expert programmers, I guess.
On the other hand, Internet makes me lazy. It drives me to say “Just later” do all the chores at home. The addiction is very rapid. It is really like a serious disease that I can’t live without. I just stop when headache burst my brain out from using more.
The use of Internet is unbearable. Its wings widens to all horizons from all races of life. No matter there are pros and cons, there is nothing one can do but to discipline the self. I am on the side of controlling my addiction to set things in its proper destination. But using the Internet is also the option that makes my life easier and thus, I am using it every day.
The role of parents are very essential to their children. They should be aware of what their children surf in the Internet so that they (children) will not be directed into the wrong path of their exposure to the world of its varied access. Thus, they should install protective device(hardware) that their children will not be able to go to wrong Internet places.
