29 Jesus left there and went along by Lake Galilee. He climbed a hill and sad down. 30 Large crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the dumb, and many other sick people, whom they paced at Jesus’ feet; and He healed them. 31 The people were amazed as they saw the dumb speaking, the crippled made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing, and they praised the God of Israel.
It is our family habit to read the Bible every evening before we are going to bed. I chose the reading from Matthew 15: 29-31 – Jesus Heals Many People. I want to have this Bible reading for us because I want to find answers on the repeated search of my hunger mind to uplift myself from the pain in the back that I have felt and from the answers that I have asked from the sickness that my sister feel.
As I read loudly the Bible passage, I am refreshed of the promise of God that He will never leave everyone who is in deep struggles because of bodily pains or diseases, just like He heals the lame, blind, crippled, the dumb as well as the sick people. These kinds of illnesses and diseases that those people experiencing in the passage seem impossible to solve in the limits of person’s capacity to heal. It can’t be totally healed by mere medicine, nor by any form of artificial healing. But it is the Lord who surely heals all the diseases that we thought it has no possible and sure cures.
This I find strength in believing and in clinging my trust in Him that He is the sole Person who can heal me more. Medicines are just instruments of God to help alleviate the pain and to prolong the life of the sick. It is also the source of God’s idea that these things (medicines) help cure the sickness and diseases of the people. But we should never forget that paired with the existence of medicine is the trust and faith that we have to reside in God. It is the Lord’s will that all in this Earth will happen. He has a purpose for everything that is coming our way.
It is so great to feel that God is never leaving us. In spite of how sinful we are, still in times of hard times, He is always there to help us. He never leaves us alone.
The only armor that we have is PRAYER because prayers are powerful. It is the only way that we can communicate to God. If we openly tell Him how painful we suffer and how our illnesses and diseases ruin our health, He will surely never fail to heal us. It is in us if we let Him in in our lives. God brings miracles and it will happen. It will really happen.
When we have faith in God, it heals us no matter how deep or how impossible it is to be okay again. God never fails and He will keep His promise if we just believe and have faith in Him. It is through prayers that we can build faith in God. Our sincere prayers lead us to our ultimate cure.
Oftentimes, people are so preoccupied with material things and situations that can part us in God. But time comes that God will remind us of Him because He loves us and He never wants to depart us in evil ways and swim in its inflictions. Before anything will happen, God will make it sure that He will save us from the evil ways in this earth.
I am very much happy that I have found the meaning of life in God. I am not like this before because I thought that being busy makes all the sense in life. But there are lacking out from my hectic life. I thought that after all these successes that I have now, I thought that I have it all. But God reminded me of Him always. I am just like those persons who are sick and dying because I was drown in the pain of life, but God never leaves my side. He is calling me always. I am happy to rest my faith in God. It sustains my spirit. It nourishes my soul.
