Letter to Whitney Houston

I love Whitney Houston very much. Her sudden death shocked me that until now, I can't believe it. It is just like a tragic deam but when I woke up this morning, I was bombarded with Whitney Houston's death (news) scattering everywhere - on the TV, Internet, Radio and even from my friends. This leads me to believe that she is really gone from us. She is not anymore here with us.

I just don't know why my favorite singers like Michael Jackson and now, Whitney Houston were taken so early. I deeply miss Michael's songs and now, I surely will miss most also Whitney Houston's powerful voice. Her songs change me the way I view life. I find hope after every struggle, I find courage despite many storms and that is what most of Whitney Houston's songs are all about. Because of my super-admiration and love of Whitney, I am writing this letter to her.

Dear Whitney Houston,

The moment I knew you and your songs, I was 6 years old then. My mother sings songs like "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" 'till now my all-time favorites "I Look to You" and "I Turn to You". When I joined singing contests, your songs are my inspiration. It has become my piece. I felt so sad and in tears every time i hear the bad news all over again aired on TV that you are totally gone and that I can't hear anymore your powerful and wonderful voice. You are Earth's greatest gift and God's beautiful gift to us. Your voice inspires me to be stronger, to have hope, to strive hard, to stand tall against all problems and trials in life. Even though you are struggling in deep trials, you take time to be whole again. That is the kind of strong spirit that I admire from you. You never give up helping yourself and still, that wonderful smiles are the ones motivate me to go on with life.

You show to the world the best in you. Now, that I can't have the voice that touched billions of lives around the world, I am with them praying that may your soul will rest in peace.

We love you. I am sure that I will be missing you deeply. But your song will leave forever in our hearts from generations to generation.
