I have seen the show of the big 2, the proclamation of the winner. I have waited for it a day before that day happens. I can see and have grip in my belief that Jessica Sanchez will surely win because she is having a wonderful, flexible voice. She can confidently stand in the crowds with her wit and the talent that she is having which makes her perfectly a star.
I can't even decipher to think that maybe all of this comes in a point of racism. Is it because Jessica Sanchez is a Filipino-American singer? Does she does not have the chance to win because of her race?
Even though I am here in the US, it can't be avoided that racial discrimination lingers on in some instance or in another way around. Jessica Sanchez is a great singer. She can sing just about any genre of music and her voice fits them all. This singing contest is not about the looks but it is more about the voice. It is not about the race and who is going to vote but it is all about the best.
Oftentimes, I can't think why people come up with a decision that is so irrelevant to their show. Is this singing competition more about physical beauty? That is why, it is called a singing contest because the aspect here that emphasizes most is the voice and how to hit the note at the proper tone.
Is it because she doesn't have much fans? Is it the cause of her losing? America finds the right talent. Jessica Sanchez has it. Why not give that all to her because she deserves to win.
That is why, I do question everything that comes out with this reality singing contest. Oftentimes, it is not because of the said contest but because of something that makes it more on the popularity side.
I am just airing how I feel. Hope racism will not scatter anymore in country such as USA. We all need to respect and love each other's culture.
Is it because she is a Filipino-American? Is it because she is just 16 years old?
